Job Summary
We are seeking an Assembler - Biotech Manufacturing for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Poway, CA. This role supports the production of clinical diagnostic products, including diagnostic test kits and bulk reagents, within a cGMP and ISO 13485 medical device manufacturing environment.
This is a strong opportunity for candidates with hands-on assembly, production, filling, packaging, labeling, or laboratory manufacturing experience who are looking to grow in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry. The work environment is structured, quality-focused, and team-oriented, with detailed processes, supportive production leadership, and the potential for long-term hire based on performance.
The 9/80 schedule provides excellent work-life balance with every other Friday off, making this a great fit for dependable manufacturing professionals who take pride in accuracy, consistency, and producing products that support clinical diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive assembly line filling, packaging, and labeling operations for diagnostic test products and bulk reagents.
- Set up and adjust production equipment or workstations while maintaining required tolerances and specifications.
- Monitor product quality and perform checks in accordance with established quality specifications and control procedures.
- Assemble, disassemble, and assist with routine instrument repair or preparation according to specifications.
- Read and follow work instructions, diagrams, drawings, specifications, and production documentation.
- Support housekeeping, lab ware cleaning, workstation organization, and other cleanup duties as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour.
- Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Work Schedule: 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
- Employment Type: Temporary with possible temp-to-hire based on performance.

- Perform assembly line filling, packaging, and labeling for clinical diagnostic products.

- Follow cGMP, ISO 13485, safety, quality, and documentation procedures.
- Complete quality checks, workstation setup, cleanup, and routine production support tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Typically requires at least 2 years of related experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, laboratory, biotech, medical device, or pharmaceutical environments.

- Ability to read and understand assembly documentation, including diagrams, drawings, specifications, work instructions, and wire lists.
- Familiarity with soldering and compression connection tools.
- Knowledge of basic computer operations and applications relevant to production work.
- Good visual perception, including the ability to distinguish between colors.
- Ability to communicate clearly and understand written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based production environment.
- Ability to work extended hours as required.
- Experience following safety policies in a laboratory or manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in biotech manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or laboratory production.
- Experience with cleanroom manufacturing, production assembly, filling, packaging, labeling, or quality inspection.
- Familiarity with diagnostic products, clinical test kits, reagents, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Prior experience working in cGMP, ISO 13485, or other quality-regulated production settings.
