SUMMARY


Responsible for day-to-day production activities in various manufacturing cells. Work with leads to ensure all scheduled jobs have the resources needed to meet customer deliver dates.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be a team player as measured by his/her peers.
  • Establish and maintain safe working environment.
  • Develop and plan jobs by setting priority and assigning appropriate skill level to produce a quality product in spec and on time.
  • Implement processes to improve ability to produce a quality product in spec and on time.
  • Communicate and implement company policies, procedures, and objectives. Facilitate the flow of fact-based information.
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instructions as needed to all leads.
  • Continuous improvement activity using the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve & Control (DMAIC) methodology or Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD & T
  • Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
  • Establish maintenance requirements for equipment and facility in conjunction with Engineering and Maintenance personnel. Ensure timely maintenance is performed and proper records are maintained.
  • Assess employee performance, provide frequent constructive feedback to employees, and conduct performance reviews. Implement corrective and disciplinary action as warranted.
  • Identify and implement necessary personnel coaching, training, and development to upgrade and maintain employee skill levels to keep pace with current and future company requirements.
  • Measure and manage productivity and the allocation of resources, including the control of overtime and hiring of personnel.
  • Review CNC machine part programs, tooling aids, and machine set ups to ensure optimum output from resources, employee relations.
  • Confer with supervisor and Programmers regarding drawings, sketches, and design data of a part to determine dimension and configuration of tool path(s)
  • Coordinate production activities with other departments to optimize team members, schedules, and production.
  • Maintain effective interface with other operations supervisors and other departments (i.e.; Planning, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Customer Service) to optimize production and process improvement activity.
  • Work to continuously improve in all areas such as safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • ISO9001:2008 and ISO13485:2003 certification and compliance.
  • Safety and OSHA compliance


Requirements:

REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10 to 15 years of progressive operational and management experience
  • Relevant industry experience in the manufacturing of Medical Device and Semiconductor equipment
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Must have experience in the use of ERP system
  • Proven track record in the management of manufacturing operations, engineering, and quality assurance
  • Provide supervisory support above normal working hours and on weekends as needed.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

DESIRED

  • Associates or bachelorโ€™s degree preferred
  • Work experience in a fast -paced manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Scheduling and Shop Control planning system such as Epicor is a plus
  • Someone who proactively addresses concerns and potential issues prior to them negatively impacting business
