About the role
The Director of Business Process & Systems is responsible for designing, optimizing, and enabling end‑to‑end business processes through technology platforms, with a primary focus on ERP and CRM systems. This role bridges operations and systems, ensuring business processes are standardized, scalable, and effectively supported by core enterprise platforms.
The position has end-to-end ownership across both process architecture and system enablement, including process design, system configuration alignment, implementation support and performance optimization. This role works cross-functionally across Operations, Finance, IT, and Commercial teams to drive digital transformation, system adoption, and operational efficiency.
End-to-End Process Design & System Alignment
Lead current-state process mapping across core business functions (e.g., order to cash, procure to pay, service delivery).
Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, and control gaps in existing workflows.
Design future-state processes that improve efficiency, scalability, compliance, and customer experience.
Establish standardized process documentation, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
Drive implementation of redesigned processes across the organization.
Translate end-to-end process designs into clear, structured business and system requirements for ERP / CRM platforms, ensuring alignment between business objectives and system configuration.
Operational Performance & Data Insights
Define KPIs and performance metrics aligned to process outcomes (e.g., cycle time, cost, error rates).
Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and root causes.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and service quality.
Partner with operations leaders to embed accountability and performance management.
Improve reporting, dashboards, and data visibility for decision-making.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across systems.
Process Governance & Enablement
Establish and maintain enterprise process architecture and taxonomy.
Implement governance frameworks for process ownership and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with IT to enable automation, workflow tools, and system integration where appropriate.
Ensure processes align with compliance, regulatory, and financial control requirements.
Support or lead ERP / CRM implementations, upgrades, and enhancements across the organization.
Cross-Functional Transformation & Integration Partner with business leaders to align systems and processes with strategic priorities and growth initiatives. Support M&A integrations by aligning acquired businesses to core ERP / CRM platforms and standardized processes. Lead workshops to drive process and system adoption across teams. Manage stakeholders across Operations, Finance, IT, and Commercial functions. As Needed
What we need from you
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred but not required ERP / CRM system certifications preferred but not required (e.g. Salesforce Business Analyst)
Experience:
• 5-8 years of experience in business process improvement, systems implementation or transformation roles
• Direct experience leading end-to-end process design or re-engineering initiatives
• Direct experience with ERP and CRM platforms
• Experience leading or supporting ERP / CRM implementations, upgrades or integrations
• Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional change and operational transformation
• Experience working with process mapping tools •
Experience with PE-backed companies preferred but not required.
