CBM Aggregates is seeking a Quality Control Manager.

This position is a permanent full-time vacancy.

Annual salary range: $101,000.00 -$125,000.00 - depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides support and direction to CBM Aggregates business in tracking, documenting, auditing, validating, improving, and implementing business and production/shipping processes
  • Works closely with the Operations Managers and Sales Manager to develop strategies for reserve management and process improvement techniques
  • Develops, monitors, communicates, and determines root causes for Key Performance Indicators of business performance and assists in developing strategies and implementing tactics for improvement in this area
  • Manages the CBM Aggregate Quality Performance System and maintains all quality programs and documentation to ensure compliance with both customer and internal quality standards
  • Develops, evaluates and improves quality assurance programs, processes, record keeping, and reporting procedures and systems in order to prevent or eliminate defects in production
  • Develops and maintains positive and proactive relationships with CBM plant, quality, sales, and support personnel ensuring mutually beneficial and collaborative processes
  • Manage, support, and develop a team of Quality Control professionals
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Engineering degree or 4-7 years of relevant experience in the cement, concrete, aggregate, construction or manufacturing industries
  • Prior experience with quality improvement & project improvement
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential
  • Strong people management, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experienced with all MS office and general computer knowledge, with experience with LIMS (AggQC) is an asset
  • Valid Ontario G Class license and access to a reliable vehicle

NOTE: this position requires regular and frequent day-time travel across Ontario. All applicants must have a valid license and access to a vehicle. Mileage/vehicle expenses are compensated.
