HRIS Process ManagerThe Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers Command

Pay Rate: $70,000-73,000/year exempt, 36.25 Hour Work Week

Primarily in office in Hoffman Estates, IL - after 90 days opportunity to work 1 day a week remotely or a 4 day work week.

Position Overview

We're seeking a detail-oriented HRIS Process Manager to join our dynamic team! This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on our Adult Rehabilitation Centers by ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing and providing essential HR support to help transform lives.

Key Highlights:

  • Lead payroll operations for multiple Adult Rehabilitation Centers
  • Work with cutting-edge ADP systems and technology

What You'll Do

Core Payroll Excellence

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for Adult Rehabilitation Centers and Command staff
  • Manage ADP records, including new hires, terminations, and updates
  • Handle payroll deductions, garnishments, and child support orders
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal payroll regulations
  • Calculate vacation payouts and process manual checks as needed

Benefits & Systems Management

  • Maintain employee benefit accruals and reconcile insurance billings
  • Serve as primary liaison with legal teams for garnishments
  • Manage Wisely Pay Card system and inventory
  • Provide backup support to Benefits Specialist

HR Support & Leadership

  • Assist HR Coordinators with employee record maintenance
  • Provide training to new team members
  • Generate and distribute managerial reports
  • Attend Command Finance Board meetings when needed

Technical Expertise

  • Serve as authorized ADP system contact and troubleshooter
  • Apply in-depth system knowledge to resolve complex issues
  • Maintain tax jurisdictions and process mass system changes

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field OR
  • 5+ years of payroll processing experience
  • ADP experience or similar payroll system knowledge preferred

Essential Skills:

  • Strong Excel proficiency - a must!
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and employee benefits
  • Ability to interpret employee handbooks and benefit plan documents
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive for company business
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Comfortable with occasional weekend/evening work
