Job description

Job Title: Consumer Lending Business Integrations Manager

Position Location: Raleigh, NC. Hybrid position, must live locally.

Job Summary:

The Consumer Lending Business Integrations Manager leads the technology, data, and analytical functions that support the credit union's consumer lending operations. This role oversees system integrations, vendor partnerships, and market research to ensure that lending products remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational growth goals. The manager also provides insights to enhance performance across all consumer lending channels, including direct and indirect auto, credit card, personal, and home equity lending.

As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be: (35%) System Integrations & Technology:
  • Lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of consumer lending systems, leveraging advanced technologies-including AI-to drive efficiency and improve system connectivity.
  • Partner with internal business units and external vendors to coordinate deployment of new features, tools, and integrations.
  • Monitor emerging technologies, industry trends, and system capabilities to recommend improvements.
  • Oversee all system upgrades and installations, including test plan development, coordination of user acceptance testing, documentation of outcomes, and successful rollout.
  • Oversee and direct the Quality Control team, including performance management and staffing support, and provide regular reporting on quality trends and findings to ensure loans adhere to policy and are set up accurately for servicing.
(25%) Vendor Management:
  • Serve as the primary owner and subject‑matter expert for all consumer lending systems and related integrations.
  • Manage relationships with technology providers, credit bureaus, and third‑party partners to ensure optimal service levels and system performance.
  • Ensure seamless system functionality supporting underwriting, processing, funding, and post‑closing for all consumer loan products.
  • Systems may include MeridianLink, FirstClose, Zest, Clutch, Dealertrack, RouteOne, and Origence.
(25%) Loan Product Support:
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and gaps within the consumer lending marketplace for direct and indirect auto, personal loans, credit cards and home equity products.
  • Lead all consumer lending product campaigns, including acquisition, recapture, and utilization strategies.
  • Identify operational trends and performance opportunities that enhance portfolio health and member experience.
(15%) Consumer Lending Liaison:
  • Represent Consumer and Indirect Lending on enterprise‑wide initiatives, ensuring system and operational requirements are addressed across departments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Eight years of financial services experience with at least four years of experience in consumer lending
  • Three years of management experience
  • Project implementation and system integration experience

Education:

  • Related bachelor's degree or four years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Advanced education or certifications in business process management, systems integration, or project management are preferred
  • Designation as Meridian Link Certified Product Administrator within 12 months of hire
