What is a process integration manager?

Process Integration Managers are professionals responsible for coordinating and optimizing business processes across different departments or systems within an organization. Their main goal is to ensure that workflows, technologies, and teams work together seamlessly to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and achieve strategic objectives. They often analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and oversee the implementation of integrated solutions. These managers play a crucial role in bridging gaps between operations, IT, and business units to drive organizational success.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a process integration manager?

To thrive as a Process Integration Manager, you need a solid background in process engineering, project management, and a relevant degree in engineering or a related field. Experience with process mapping tools, ERP systems (such as SAP), and certifications like Six Sigma or PMP are commonly required. Strong analytical thinking, leadership, and excellent communication skills help in aligning cross-functional teams and driving process improvements. These abilities are crucial for ensuring seamless integration of processes, maximizing efficiency, and achieving organizational goals.

What are the most common cross-functional collaborations for a process integration manager, and how do they impact daily responsibilities?

Process Integration Managers frequently collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and IT teams to streamline workflows and optimize production processes. These interactions often involve coordinating meetings, troubleshooting process bottlenecks, and implementing new technologies or standards across departments. Effective communication and strong project management skills are essential, as the role requires balancing multiple priorities and ensuring alignment among diverse teams. This cross-functional work environment not only enhances daily problem-solving but also offers opportunities to broaden one’s expertise and advance into higher leadership roles.

Job description

Telematics Integration Specialist
Full-time | GemOne | Location - Olathe, KS, 66022
GemOne is a global tech company within TVH Parts Co. that aims at developing future-proof Smart Telematics solutions for optimal fleet performance management in multiple domains such as: track & trace, operational efficiency, security & safety and service & maintenance. We offer cloud-based solutions and the necessary IoT hardware components to intelligently gather and enrich data of industrial equipment to streamline fleet management-related processes.
GemOne is seeking a Telematics Integration Specialist to join our team in Olathe, KS. This role is a hybrid of hardware engineering and advanced technical support, designed to bridge the gap between our innovative R&D engineering efforts and real-world machine implementation. As a hands-on expert, you will document how our telematics hardware integrates with various industrial machines, including forklifts, reach trucks, and boom lifts. Your responsibilities will include capturing CAN traces, identifying connection points and connectors, determining ideal mounting positions and prototyping harnesses.
While your primary focus will be supporting the R&D engineering team with machine analysis and harness prototyping, you will also act as a Tier 2 Technical Account Manager (TAM) for our customers, ensuring their fleet management solutions are commissioned and maintained to the highest standard.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Travel to customer sites, test facilities, or equipment yards to perform CAN data captures, document the machines' electrical architecture and connectors, and conduct field tests to validate the accurate readout of equipment data (approximately 50-60% travel). The ability to travel as needed is an integral part of this role.
  • Create structured machine documentation covering the CAN bus, connectors, and possible mounting positions for our products to serve as the primary reference for R&D engineering and TAM teams.
  • Design, develop, and refine wiring harnesses tailored to specific industrial machines to ensure seamless integration of our IoT devices.
  • Support the end-to-end development cycle by collaborating with the R&D engineering team on hardware and firmware validation, from prototype to release, to make our products as robust and customer-friendly as possible.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our product offerings to identify potential software or hardware issues and collaborate with R&D and software engineering teams to resolve them.
  • As a Tier 2 Technical Account Manager, you will support dealers and end-users both remotely and onsite. This includes assisting with the installation and commissioning of telematics solutions while maintaining a positive, customer-first approach to ensure an exceptional experience.
  • Represent the technical voice of the customer when engaging with internal teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

HOW TO SUCCEED
  • At least 3+ years of experience in technical roles, with the ability to understand electrical diagrams and experience working with industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts, construction equipment, etc.).
  • Possess the diagnostic skills to investigate a machine's operational logic and use measurement tools to analyze how its electrical systems translate into functional performance.
  • Skilled in clear documentation and effective communication with both local and international teams, while always being detail-oriented and structured in your approach, with a strong preference for quality over quantity.
  • Comfortable with hands-on tasks on the machine to capture machine data, install our products and assemble custom cables and connectors.
  • Customer-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the energy to address technical challenges, helping customers achieve their business and technical goals.
  • Possess a healthy level of critical thinking, willing to question the status quo and suggest improvements. You are proactive and solution-oriented, identifying challenges and taking the initiative to resolve them.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50-60% to customer sites, equipment yards, or testing facilities for data collection, hardware access, and team collaboration.
  • Minimum of a 2-year technical degree required, preferably in a technical field (e.g., electrical, mechanical).
  • Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Google Suite (Mail, Calendar, Sheets, Drive).

BENEFITS
You'll be part of a people-centric culture, where your well-being matters. Our comprehensive package offers standard benefits such as medical, dental, and vision, plus unique benefits such as our onsite health clinic and our incredible dollar for dollar 401(k) match up to 6%. At GemOne, we're on a mission to make the world a smarter, safer, and more connected place through our innovative telematics products.
