What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Process Integration Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Process Integration Manager, you need a solid background in process engineering, project management, and a relevant degree in engineering or a related field. Experience with process mapping tools, ERP systems (such as SAP), and certifications like Six Sigma or PMP are commonly required. Strong analytical thinking, leadership, and excellent communication skills help in aligning cross-functional teams and driving process improvements. These abilities are crucial for ensuring seamless integration of processes, maximizing efficiency, and achieving organizational goals.

What are the most common cross-functional collaborations for a Process Integration Manager, and how do they impact daily responsibilities?

Process Integration Managers frequently collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and IT teams to streamline workflows and optimize production processes. These interactions often involve coordinating meetings, troubleshooting process bottlenecks, and implementing new technologies or standards across departments. Effective communication and strong project management skills are essential, as the role requires balancing multiple priorities and ensuring alignment among diverse teams. This cross-functional work environment not only enhances daily problem-solving but also offers opportunities to broaden one’s expertise and advance into higher leadership roles.

Job description

About IntelePeer.ai:
IntelePeer delivers rapidly deployable communications solutions for an always connected world. Our Conversational AI Platform instantly improves your customers' communications experience. IntelePeer provides industry leading time-to-value with Agentic AI solutions that work seamlessly with your infrastructure. Our no-code templates, low-code, co-creation, and developer API options provide you with simple, easy-to-use tools that can be utilized by anyone.
Job Summary:
The is responsible for owning the integration layer that makes that possible - specifically the read and write pathways between IntelePeer's platform and healthcare systems including EHRs, practice management systems (PMS), scheduling platforms, RCM systems, and other adjacent clinical and operational platforms. When an agent needs to retrieve a patient's appointment status, check an open authorization, or pull account data from a PMS, that data comes through this integration. When the agent completes a workflow, the outcome gets written back to the appropriate system. Getting both directions right, reliably, at scale, is the job
Responsibilities:
▸ Healthcare platform partnership development - identifying integration targets across EHRs, PMS, scheduling, RCM, and adjacent systems; driving API access agreements with vendors; building a formal partner program
▸ Read layer requirements - what data agents retrieve from each system type, from which FHIR resources or HL7 message types, at what latency, and how it gets normalized before reaching an agent
▸ Write-back requirements - what gets written back to EHRs, PMS, and other systems when a workflow completes, the write contract, conflict handling, idempotency, and the safeguards that keep bad data out of the record
▸ Integration infrastructure - API gateway design, authentication patterns, retry/circuit-breaker logic, and the integration playbooks that standardize deployments across customers
▸ Data gap identification - formally documenting where required data is inaccessible, inconsistent, or unstructured, and owning the roadmap to close those gaps with partners and engineering
▸ HIPAA compliance posture for all integration touchpoints - PHI classification, audit logging, BAA scope, minimum necessary standards
Supervisory Duties:
This is a Senior IC opportunity
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree is a must
▸ 7+ years healthcare IT or systems integration experience (EHR, PMS, scheduling, or RCM)
▸ Direct integration experience with a major EHR or PMS platform in production
▸ Working knowledge of FHIR R4 and HL7 v2 (read and write)
Key Competencies:
Platform experience: Direct hands-on integration experience with at least one major EHR, PMS, or similar healthcare platform - Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, Raintree, eClinicalWorks, Kareo, or comparable. Needs to know how that platform's API actually works in production, not just in the sandbox.
Technical fluency: Must be able to read and write FHIR R4 resource requirements and HL7 v2 message specs across system types. Does not need to be an engineer, but needs to be specific enough to write integration requirements that engineers can build to without back-and-forth.
Data knowledge: Understands healthcare data at the field level - code sets (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC, NPI, X12), patient and encounter data structures, what good data looks like vs. what production data actually looks like across EHR, PMS, and RCM environments.
Systems thinker: Can model how read and write operations interact across a multi-system healthcare environment - EHR, PMS, scheduling, RCM - anticipate downstream effects of integration design decisions, and identify failure modes before they surface in production.
Physical Requirements:
• Sedentary work lifting no more than 10 pounds.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, and standing.
• Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate office equipment.
• Vision sufficient to read computer screens, reports, and related department documents.
• Dexterity to operate computer keyboards and other related office equipment.
• Endurance sufficient to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
• Frequent speech communication and hearing
Why you'll love it here:
  • Unlimited Vacation for exempt employees
  • Paid Holidays
  • Competitive medical, dental & vision insurance for employees and their dependents
  • 401K Retirement Plan
  • Stock Options
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Health & Flexible Savings Accounts
  • Cell phone, gym, and internet reimbursement
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Free snacks (Denver, and or Fort Lauderdale)
  • Fun events (virtual and in-person)
