Regular Hours: 40/week, M-F, 8am-5pm EST

Supervisory Role: No

Position Overview
The Account Executive's position is to turn prospective clients into clients by understanding the prospective client's needs, matching those needs to our services offering, overcoming objections, negotiating contractual terms, and facilitating a successful handoff to the onboarding team.
Additionally, the Account Executive is responsible for driving top of funnel creation through all forms of prospecting including forming strategic alliances, networking, and doing direct outbound prospecting.
The Account Executive will be the face of the company for prospective clients and is responsible for providing an overview of our solution to expand our clientele. It is expected that the Account Executive will meet with prospective clients, either on site or virtually, to discuss and understand the prospective client's IT needs. Driving the sales process from inception to deal closure will be a key component of the success of this role. Technical literacy is a part of this job, as you will be directly translating technical solutions to decision makers and working with a solutions engineer internally.
This role will assist in servicing a variety of clients and working with executives, business owners, managers, end users, and internal staff. You must demonstrate superior communication and organizational skills to respond to diverse and sometimes urgent needs all while exemplifying excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Increase market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing prospective clients within target industries and territories.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Astute Technology Management's service offerings portfolio and how they can be customized to meet the needs of prospective clients.
  • Be well versed in "tech-speak" while being skilled at translating complex technical solutions to everyday business challenges for prospective clients.
  • Discover and explore business opportunities by researching prospective clients in target market segments and getting into contact with them.
  • Track all aspects of the sales process for prospects in a CRM.
  • Close new business deals by understanding prospective business needs, creating quotes and plans to meet those needs and negotiating contracts.
  • Attend networking, conferences, and business industry events as a representative of the company.
  • Commit to maintaining active membership and participation in a company funded, position appropriate peer group.
  • Maintain excellent regular communication with all assigned prospective clients.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and facilitate the movement of prospective clients to established clients by working with the service team and assigned account manager.
  • Assist in the development of goals and creating plans for revenue growth.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue growth goals.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as to be assigned.

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business-to-business sales with proven track record of success.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, prospecting strategies, and CRM tools.
  • A working understanding of tech and/or IT is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
