Job description

AMR Logistics Operations is a fast-moving and dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes required for success. The Americas Distribution Center Operations Central Supplier Manager (CSM) will be customer-focused, process-minded, and passionate for excellence. The candidate must be able to work towards achieving targets while demonstrating personal initiative with a focus on driving superior customer service and process efficiency. Additionally, candidates must have laser focus on supporting the key tactical and strategic initiatives including: Customer Delight, Process Excellence (Precision), Cost Leadership, Environmental Sustainability, and Continuous Improvement. This role requires superior business acumen as well as program management, relationship development and innovative process improvement skills. Description
The Americas DC CSM will drive and oversee initiatives that improve our performance in the reseller route to market while managing key performance metrics. In this position, the candidate will identify opportunities across the AMR network of DCs that improve speed, cost, and quality. This requires expertise in industry best practices and data analytics to quantify the opportunities and implement solutions. You will need to manage a network that must scale to peak volumes that may or may not be planned and work with 3PLs to build capabilities to support this. Note that due to the nature of Apple New Product Introductions and the focus on "surprise and delight", occasional weekend work is expected during peak periods.
-Analyze and report DC KPIs focused on reseller route to market
-Identify logistics areas for process improvement, speed, and cost savings to ensure the best customer experience
-Tactical support of critical delivery events from business as usual to peak events such as NPI and spring back
-Ability to own strategic initiatives in addition to day-to-day tactical operations
-Provide analytical support for projects, key performance indicators, and capital planning
-Ability to build relationships with logistics and cross-functional partners
-Ability to stitch across the logistics network and cross-functionality
Minimum Qualifications
5-7 years of experience in logistics and/or operations
Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, BS/BA degree required
Strong Excel & analytical skills with the ability to communicate insights with data (e.g. Tableau) as well as AI tools
Strong project management & leadership skills with an understanding of lean principles in operations management
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience working with 3PL logistics providers preferred but not required
Ability to maintain poise and a positive attitude in a challenging, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Proven process improvement skills with natural curiosity and desire to understand how things work
Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships in a dynamic environment
Comfort with ambiguity
