Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundriesFab8, Malta, NY seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for ongoing operations, as well as working on the design, construction, and startup of GlobalFoundries electrical systems in support of our wafer fabrication facility. Additionally, you will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure continuous improvements to our facilities electrical systems and ensure regulatory compliance with all city, state, and federal guidelines.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide management and support for all facilities electrical systems, provide technical direction to engineers, technicians, and contractors in support of the operation and construction of facilities electrical systems.
  • Provide electrical system support to all facilities teams and fab modules.
  • Ensure that continued operations of electrical systems are seamless to fab operations with daily execution of operations and prioritizing and executing electrical hardening projects
  • Interface closely with design and construction to ensure Electrical Site Specifications meet the requirements of the fab, are accurate, and are updated as needed.
  • Interface closely with design and engineering teams to ensure projects meet operational electrical needs, ensure maintainability of electrical systems, ensure smooth startups of electrical systems, and ensure that start-ups are seamless to fab operations.
  • Explore and implement cost controls while sustaining and improving operational systems for fab operations.
  • Ability to work with cross-discipline facilities teams.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College and or University in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • Have experience as a Field Electrical Engineer, Systems Electrical Engineer, and/or Electrical Manager in a semiconductor or related industry or role.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (less than 5% annually).
  • Experience in writing and reviewing operating procedures.
  • Ability to write and review scopes of work integrating multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to oversee training development and implementation.
  • Ability to coordinate and direct project teams, electrical engineers, electrical technicians and contractors as required.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an Accredited College and or University in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a global matrixed team or environment
  • 10 years managing medium to large sized electrical projects and H/M/L voltage systems
  • 10 years in semiconductor industry
  • Expertise in large project management software (i.e. Microsoft Project)

Expected Salary Range

$118,000.00 - $210,000.00
