Job description

Why This Role Is Critical
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team supporting the repair, refurbishment, and replacement of safety-critical components for commercial nuclear power plants, as well as emerging work scopes for Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and Advanced Reactors (ARs).
This role is central to ensuring the reliability, compliance, and long-term operability of reactor systems across the operating fleet while helping position the organization for next-generation nuclear technologies. The supervisor will oversee engineers responsible for developing technical repair solutions, replacement strategies, design modifications, and field execution support for complex nuclear components including reactor internals, pressure boundary components, and key balance-of-plant systems.
In addition to fleet support, the team contributes engineering expertise to SMR and AR programs-supporting component design for maintainability, repairability, and lifecycle service strategies. This includes evaluating new materials, manufacturing methods, and service tooling approaches tailored to advanced reactor architectures.

What You'll Do Day-To-Day
  • Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments.
  • Plans and directs the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
  • Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
  • Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
  • Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
  • Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
  • Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
  • Works on special projects, as directed.
  • Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
    • Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.
  • Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.
  • Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.
  • Strong nuclear industry experience
  • Understanding of NSSS component design and materials performance.

  • Salary: $115,000- $156,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
