Process Engineer

Location: Roscoe, IL 61073

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Process Engineer to join our team in Roscoe, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace process engineering, metallurgy, and metal fabrication, with a deep understanding of machining and special processes such as plating and heat treat. This role involves reviewing and processing jobs based on customer-designed blueprints, applying GD amp;T principles, and creating travelers or process routing packets with clear instructions to ensure parts are manufactured to print and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret customer-designed blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD amp;T) to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
  • Create detailed travelers or process routing packets outlining step-by-step instructions for manufacturing parts to print.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to optimize processes and resolve production issues.
  • Utilize knowledge of metallurgy, metal fabrication, and machining to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee and specify special processes such as plating and heat treatment to meet aerospace industry requirements.
  • Maintain documentation and records in accordance with aerospace industry standards and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in aerospace process engineering or a related manufacturing environment.
