Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

The Process Engineer will take ownership of a portion of the manufacturing lines, ensuring daily operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement across production processes. Working closely with a cross-functional engineering and maintenance team, this role focuses on optimizing equipment performance, supporting new product launches, and enhancing preventative maintenance and quality practices within a modern manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 1–3+ years of experience as a manufacturing or process engineer.
  • Strong experience in process engineering within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and methodologies.
  • Ability to work with PLC systems, including Allen-Bradley equipment and controls.
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and stay until tasks and projects are completed, based on production and customer needs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience documenting process characteristics in standard work and FMEA or similar risk analysis tools.
  • Experience in developing safety procedures for handling chemicals and hazardous materials.
  • Familiarity with designing equipment layouts and optimizing production workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with quality engineers to develop work instructions and quality controls.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift position, with typical hours ranging from approximately 6:00 or 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. Extended hours, including considerable overtime, may be required depending on project timelines and customer expectations. The facility features a newer, open-office concept where the Process Engineer will spend a significant amount of time collaborating with the engineering team. The production area is a very clean, modern facility with high ceilings, bright lighting, and a slight rubber smell that is not overwhelming. The site employs around 200 people across three shifts and maintains an engineering team of five total engineers, including quality and process engineers. The environment is professional, team-oriented, and focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $43.27/hr.
