Job Title: Hydraulic Installation Engineer

Location - Decatur, Illinois (Onsite)

Employment Type - Full-Time


Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Installation Engineer to support heavy equipment and off-highway vehicle projects for Caterpillar in Decatur, IL. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in hydraulic system installation, hose routing, hydraulic integration, and interpreting hydraulic schematics within manufacturing or heavy equipment environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and support hydraulic hose routing and installation for heavy equipment systems.
  • Interpret and work with hydraulic schematics, layouts, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform hydraulic system integration for new and existing equipment platforms.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure proper hydraulic installation and functionality.
  • Utilize Creo for 3D modeling, design modifications, and installation documentation.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic installation issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Caterpillar engineering standards, safety guidelines, and quality processes.
