Job Description
At Amcor, you will serve as primary point of contact and leverage expertise for machines and automation within their assigned focus region. A qualified candidate is a motivated technical expert that works with and advises production, tool room, engineers, scheduling, and customers on the best methods and standard operating procedures. This role is for a leader in using attention to detail in the collection, interpretation, and recommendations of data driven decisions to resolve root cause problems, meet deadlines, and improve processes.
Responsibilities
  • Be a role model of our Values (Safety, Customers, Winning, Agility, and Sustainability) and Behaviors (I Do The Right Thing, I Champion Our Customers, I Dream Big, I Make Things Happen, and I Play for Team Amcor).
  • Coordinate and direct preventative maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of Injection molding and automation systems.
  • Manage day to day operations of assigned product lines, for a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
  • Gather and analyze pertinent statistical data for assigned product lines in order to develop and execute production plan to ensure customer orders are met.
  • Collaborate with other teams (production, maintenance, tooling, etc.) and/or other appropriate leadership to leverage and focus departmental capabilities for effective application of resources.
  • Liaison with customer representatives to communicate performance metrics, manage and alleviate Customers concerns with applicable corrective actions.
  • Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to improve safety, efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Tracks cost savings of implemented projects and efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Strong problem solving and technical skills.
  • Prefer 5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance/Engineering.
  • Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Detail oriented/root cause investigative mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Stable work history and excellent attendance/safety habits.
  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting/moving up to 35 pounds periodically.
  • Must be a team player with excellent attendance, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
