Your Job
Koch-Glitsch, a global leader in mass transfer and separations equipment, is currently looking for an experienced Process Engineer at our Wichita, KS location to provide technical support by developing innovative solutions for Mass Transfer equipment, including trayed and packed tower applications.
Our Team
This role will support a broad range of industries including refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, biofuels, gas processing, pharmaceuticals, food processing and environmental. The role is a part of our commercial team and requires an individual who is self-motivated, technically strong, has excellent communication skills, can present a value proposition, and who is able to keep pace with the fast-paced sales environment. The role involves close collaboration with our sales, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure that our solution is on time and offers the most value to the customer.
What You Will Do
  • Determine and anticipate customer expectations to provide value-based, technical solutions for our customers
  • Coordinate with multiple Koch Engineered Solutions businesses to find creative solutions that best meet the customer's needs
  • Coordinate quoting effort for assigned opportunities working directly with customers, sales teams, estimators, equipment engineering, purchasing, project management, and manufacturing
  • Own all processes related to customer technical specifications from launch to completion, including hydraulic calculations, simulations and new arrangements that are compatible with customer specifications
  • Interact with customers to refine the proposed solution to meet varying needs as they arise
  • Work with the equipment execution team to ensure the equipment is built in compliance with the customer specifications and expectations
  • Develop tools and resources to improve knowledge sharing and efficiency within the process engineering team

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Engineering, manufacturing, or plant operations experience
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience working with Mass Transfer Technology equipment
  • Previous process plant engineering experience
  • Experience developing and writing technical proposals
  • Experience collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to develop technical solutions.
  • Experience with process simulation using commercial software (Pro II, Aspen, etc)
