Job description

An AS9100 certified Aerospace Manufacturing Company specializing in the fabrication of metal bonded and sheet metal assemblies is seeking a full time Quality Manager.  The Quality Manager manages the function of quality assurance, or quality control department, including verification of product quality, development/maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions, and corrective action programs.  Engages employees in continuous improvement and fosters teamwork and a positive work environment while developing a culture of ownership and accountability.


  • Self-motivated team builder with strong multitasking, analytical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Ability to determine schedules, sequences and assignments for work activities based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel
  • Must be able to put new systems and procedures in place while instilling accountability and ownership in a rapidly changing environment
  • Must be able to drive Continuous Improvement projects through the practice of Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Statistical Process Control, etc
  • Enforce safety policies/practices to employees to foster a safe work environment through safe work practices
  • ERP/MRP experience REQUIRED
  • Previous Microsoft AX experience preferred
  • Maintain Quality Management System to AS9100
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance to all customer specifications
  • Responsible for compliance of 3rd party audits including but not limit to NADCAP CP and Composites
  • Direct the day to day production requirements in final inspection and receiving
  • Schedule and prepare part qualification activities including plans and final reporting
  • Must be able to read and interoperate Aerospace drawings and parts list
  • Identify and drive quality initiatives to reduce scrap and enhance productivity
  • Promote quality culture and behavior through leadership, communication, and training programs
  • Investigates and responds to supplier and customer inquiries or complaints
