Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with more than 100 years of industry experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes produced annually. We are committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

We are hiring an experienced Process Engineer for our Mt. Pleasant, PA location.

Job Summary

The Process Engineer supports manufacturing operations by driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost. This position partners with the Production Manager and Production Supervisors to investigate quality issues, improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste and rejects, lead lean manufacturing initiatives, and manage capital improvement projects. The Process Engineer serves as the primary technical resource for problem solving and process optimization within the plant.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

Core Responsibilities: Drive improvements in machine efficiency, uptime, and throughput; reduce scrap, waste, and rework; conduct time studies, line balancing, and maintain SOPs; investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions; lead lean initiatives (5S, Standard Work, Kaizen, visual management); support equipment evaluation, ROI analysis, installation, and startup; optimize workflow and facility layout.

Collaboration: Partner with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Purchasing, and Shipping; provide technical guidance to supervisors and operators; participate in production meetings, support training, and communicate project progress to leadership.

Authority and Impact: Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives and influence supervisors and hourly teams through technical expertise.

Key Performance Targets: Reduce scrap and customer complaints, improve machine efficiency, deliver cost savings, execute lean initiatives successfully, complete projects on time, and drive measurable productivity gains.

Pay & Work Schedule

  • Pay Range: 70K -- 80K annually
  • Schedule: Monday -- Friday; Saturdays as business dictate
  • Availability to respond to matters outside standard hours.
  • For information purposes, production shifts are as follows:
    • 1st: 7:00 AM -- 3:00 PM
    • 2nd: 3:00 PM -- 11:00 PM
    • 3rd: 11:00 PM -- 7:00 AM

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering strongly preferred.
  • 3 -- 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands on work with process improvement, problem solving, and lean principles.
  • Experience with quality investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to interpret data and turn it into practical solutions.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; cross-functional coordination
  • Comfortable working in a union manufacturing environment.
  • Solid project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Flexographic printing experience is a plus
  • Continuous improvement mindset

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Regular use of hearing, vision, manual dexterity, and mobility.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move 10--45 lbs occasionally.
  • Regular exposure to noise, moving machinery, fumes, airborne particles, inks, adhesives, temperature variation
  • Must wear required PPE (e.g., hearing protection, safety footwear); maintain a safe, compliant work environment
