Lead Process Technician (Injection Molding) - PSR6425

Compensation: $22 - $38/hour + benefits

Industry: Plastic Injection Molding

Location: Oklahoma

Reports To: Production Supervisor / Plant Manager

Schedule: Full-Time | 3rd shift available


Overview

A leading plastics manufacturer seeks an experienced Process Technician for injection molding operations. The ideal candidate will optimize processes, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain world-class production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, start up, and optimize injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment

  • Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain optimal OEE and scrap KPI

  • Execute mold/color/resin changes using SMED principles (≤50 min changeover)

  • Program and troubleshoot robotics systems (side-entry robots, EOAT)

  • Conduct DOE trials and implement process improvements

  • Maintain accurate production logs and MES system data (Vorne)

  • Ensure compliance with NSF, customer-specific, and safety standards

  • Mentor junior technicians and support continuous improvement initiatives


Qualifications
  • Required:

    • 5+ years injection molding experience 

    • RJG Master Molder I certification or equivalent scientific molding expertise is a PLUS 

    • Proficiency in robot programming and automation troubleshooting

    • Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and SPC charts

  • Preferred:

    • Associate degree in Plastics/Engineering Technology

    • Experience with ERP/MES systems and Microsoft Office


Physical Requirements
  • Stand/walk 8+ hours per shift

  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Work near moving machinery 

  • Wear full PPE (safety glasses, steel-toes, hearing protection)
