We Are Looking For

The Director, Operations for our OKC and Fort Worth facilities is responsible for providing both the strategic leadership and day-to-day operational oversight of FDH Electronics' OKC & FW site operations, ensuring operational excellence, execution of business objectives, and continuous improvement across the site. This individual will work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver a world‑class electronic component distribution and fulfillment capability to customers across the aerospace and defense supply chain. This role drives the growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction goals that define FDH Electronics' success. In addition, this individual is responsible for the overall facility maintenance and safety beyond its warehouse section.

What You’ll Do

As the Director, Operations, you’ll be responsible for:

Strategic & Operational Leadership
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the sites, ensuring alignment with company objectives, customer expectations, and growth initiatives.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that improve productivity, scalability, quality, and service levels.
  • Partner with executive leadership to establish operational priorities, monitor performance, and drive business results through key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and manage the annual operating budget, ensuring financial performance aligns with strategic objectives.
Warehouse & Distribution Operations
  • Lead all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, inventory management, kitting, material storage, order fulfillment, value‑add, shipping, and related logistics activities.
  • Own the production and fulfillment schedule to ensure efficient workflow, resource utilization, and consistent customer delivery.
  • Drive operational excellence by achieving best‑in‑class performance in On‑Time Delivery (OTD), inventory accuracy, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, traceability, and movement of electronic components throughout the distribution process.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating processes, systems, workflows, and technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase operational performance.
  • Identify and implement best‑in‑class warehouse management practices, automation opportunities, and operational technologies that support a high‑mix, high‑volume distribution environment.
  • Utilize data and performance metrics to drive informed decision‑making and operational improvements.
Leadership & Talent Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of managers, supervisors, team leads, and warehouse staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, engagement, and continuous learning.
  • Build organizational capability through succession planning, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
Quality, Compliance & Safety
  • Partner with Quality and Compliance teams to ensure customer requirements and industry standards are consistently met.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable customer, regulatory, and industry requirements, including AS9120, AS6081, J‑STD‑033, ESD, and counterfeit parts prevention standards.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant operating environment while promoting best practices in quality, safety, and material handling.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including management of large warehouse or distribution operations within the aerospace, electronics, or highly regulated distribution industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading managers and large frontline teams.
  • Experience driving Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute operational strategy while maintaining excellence in day‑to‑day execution.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and talent development skills.
  • Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience implementing operational systems, warehouse technologies, and process improvements.
  • Working knowledge of ERP and warehouse management systems.
  • Thorough understanding of aerospace quality standards, including AS9120, ASA100, AS6081, ESD controls, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work on‑site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
