Job description

JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way.

Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented peopleand empowering them tothrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong. Whether you've got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you're looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.

About JLL

JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle) is a leading professional services firm specializing in real estate and investment management. With operations in over 80 countries and a workforce of more than 100,000 people, JLL helps organizations around the world achieve their ambitions by owning, occupying, and investing in real estate. Our WPM (Workplace Management) Transformation team sits at the intersection of operations, technology, and client excellence - driving measurable improvements across JLL's integrated facilities management accounts.

Role Purpose

The Director, AI-Enabled Workplace Process Automation is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, building, and deploying AI-powered automation systems that accelerate existing workplace processes across WPM platforms and accounts business operations. This role eliminates manual tasks and processes that limit transformation velocity and acts as the team's internal AI capability multiplier.

Using Claude, agentic workflow tooling, and enterprise system integrations, this leader directly accelerates operational workflows across the existing WPM processes and platforms such as Corrigo, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other - transforming how the WPM Transformation team delivers process excellence, performance intelligence, procurement optimization, and account enablement at scale.

This is not a technology role, product role or a chatbot administrator. This is a process enabler - someone who leverages available technologies, tools and AI agent systems that make the team measurably faster, teaches the team to use them and enables scalability.

The role requires deep collaborative partnerships with the Digital Transformation Enablement & Optimization team, Process Excellence team, Operations, JLL Technologies (JLLT), Sourcing & Procurement, Finance, JLL Business Services (JBS), and other critical workstreams. Success depends on understanding existing business processes deeply enough to identify the highest-leverage automation opportunities - and working cross-functionally to deploy solutions that integrate seamlessly into daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

AI Automation Engineering for Workplace Processes

  • Design and build AI (Claude or other) powered automations that eliminate high-friction manual steps across existing WPM workplace processes, including account performance brief generation, Corrigo data extraction and formatting, insight-to-action draft creation, process report automation, and recurring operational reporting.
  • Develop autonomous workflows, agents, chatbots or similar for recurring operational tasks that currently consume significant team capacity across the Digital Transformation Enablement & Optimization team, Process Excellence team, and account operations.
  • Partners with JLLT to build and maintain multi-agent orchestration systems for complex, multi-step workflows that span Corrigo work order management, other platforms, performance dashboards, SharePoint document libraries, and Microsoft Teams collaboration channels.
  • Own the quality, reliability, and governance of all AI automation systems deployed across the team, ensuring solutions meet JLL's operational standards and client delivery expectations.

Workplace Platform Acceleration via Systems Integration (MCP & APIs)

  • Partners with JLLT as needed to implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations connecting platforms like Corrigo, BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, EDP, other enterprise platforms, used by WPM Transformation and account operations teams to accelerate existing workplace processes.
  • Eliminate copy-paste workflows and manual data transfer between systems by building live, automated data pipelines that accelerate procurement workflows, finance reconciliation, compliance reporting, and operational performance tracking.
  • Partner with JLL Technologies (JLLT), JLL Business Services (JBS), and enterprise teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise security, data governance, and compliance standards while maintaining operational reliability across client accounts.
  • Maintain and evolve the integration layer as tooling and platform capabilities advance, ensuring automations remain aligned with JLLT roadmap priorities and emerging workplace technology standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Acceleration

  • Partner deeply with Process Excellence team to identify the highest-leverage automation opportunities within existing WPM process workflows - prioritizing based on impact, scalability, ROI, implementation feasibility and life-cycle sustainability.
  • Work closely with the Digital Transformation Enablement & Optimization team to automate repetitive elements of technology operational standards documentation, migration planning support, escalation triage, requirements documentation, UAT management, and training delivery workflows.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Performance Intelligence to automate insight generation, data extraction from Corrigo and BI, and client-facing performance report production - reducing cycle time from data pull to deliverable.
  • Partner with Sourcing & Procurement and appropriate workstreams to automate vendor performance tracking, MRO spend analysis, procurement compliance reporting, and sourcing request workflows.
  • Engage with Finance and JBS teams to automate invoice reconciliation, cost center reporting, budget tracking, and month-end close activities tied to WPM operations.
  • Map current-state manual processes across all partner workstreams and design future-state automated equivalents - quantifying the time and cost savings of each automation and building business cases for deployment.
  • Serve as the AI automation liaison across WPM Transformation functional areas, ensuring deployed solutions integrate seamlessly into existing operational cadences and governance structures.

Team AI Capability Development & Knowledge Transfer

  • Act as the team's internal Claude expert and AI automation coach - run structured upskilling sessions for Global Digital Transformation Team.
  • Build a library of reusable prompts, agent templates, and automation playbooks that enable team members across Digital Transformation Enablement, Process Excellence, and partner functions to self-serve common AI-assisted tasks.
  • Document all automations with clear operating guides, troubleshooting protocols, and governance guardrails - enabling non-technical team members to use, modify, and troubleshoot deployed systems independently.
  • Track and report team AI adoption metrics - time saved, tasks automated, velocity improvement - to demonstrate ROI of the automation program to WPM Transformation leadership and JLLT stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of AI-enabled process thinking across WPM Transformation, helping team members identify automation opportunities proactively and incorporate AI into their daily workflows.

AI Technology Scouting, Governance & Risk Management

  • Stay current on rapidly evolving AI tooling and enterprise automation platforms as they emerge in 2026 and beyond.
  • Maintain an AI tool registry for the WPM Transformation team - documenting approved tools, use cases, governance guardrails, and risk mitigation protocols in alignment with JLL's responsible AI principles.
  • Partner with JLLT and enterprise governance teams to ensure all deployed AI systems meet data privacy, security, audit readiness, and client contractual requirements.
  • Flag risks and limitations of AI automation systems proactively - ensuring the team uses AI in ways that are accurate, auditable, compliant, and client-appropriate.
  • Conduct impact assessments for proposed AI deployments, documenting potential operational dependencies, failure modes, and rollback plans before production release.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, or AI/ML engineering with a focus on enterprise applications.
  • Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with Claude Code or equivalent LLM-based coding agents in a production environment - not just prompt engineering, but shipping systems others rely on.
  • Proven track record of building and deploying AI agent systems and automated workflows that integrate with enterprise platforms (CMMS/IWMS, ERP, BI tools, collaboration platforms).
  • Strong working knowledge of APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP), REST integrations, and enterprise data pipeline design.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, matrix environments - influencing without direct authority and coordinating across operations, technology, finance, and procurement teams.
  • Ability to work independently - own projects end-to-end from scoping through deployment and iteration, with minimal oversight.
  • Strong communication skills - able to explain AI systems to non-technical stakeholders clearly and without jargon, and translate business needs into technical specifications.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in facilities management, workplace management, integrated facility services, or real estate operations strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Corrigo, ServiceNow, or other CMMS/IWMS platforms used in FM operations.
  • Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem integrations.
  • Prior work with Operations, Sourcing & Procurement, Finance, or JLL Business Services (JBS) operations
  • Knowledge of enterprise AI governance, data privacy, and responsible AI deployment practices in regulated or client-facing environments.
  • Background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) or change management frameworks (Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter).

Core Competencies

Builder Mindset: delivers working systems, not slides. Measures success by what is deployed and used, not what is planned. Biased toward action and iterative delivery.

Technical Depth + Business Acumen: Understands both the code and the operational context - can sit in a Process Excellence meeting, a Procurement review, or a Finance reconciliation session and immediately identify what to automate.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Thrives in matrix environments. Builds strong partnerships with Digital Transformation Enablement, Process Excellence, JLLT, Sourcing & Procurement, Finance, JBS, and account operations teams. Naturally coordinates across silos to deliver shared outcomes.

Teaching & Influence: Knows that real leverage comes from making the whole team more capable - spends as much energy sharing knowledge and enabling self-service as building systems. Creates multiplier effects through documentation, training, and reusable templates.

Structured Problem-Solving: Prioritizes ruthlessly. With unlimited automation opportunities and finite time, picks the highest-leverage problems (hours saved team size affected) and works them to completion before moving on.

Bias for Reliability: Builds systems that the team can trust - not impressive demos that break in production. Prioritizes simplicity, documentation, graceful failure handling, and governance alignment. Understands that operational teams need automation they can depend on daily.

Forward-Thinking & Proactive: Anticipates where workplace processes are heading - stays ahead of JLLT roadmaps, emerging AI capabilities, and evolving business needs. Recommends improvements before problems reach the accounts.
