Job description

New Product Process Development Engineer

Turn innovative ideas into production-ready solutions. We are seeking a driven NPPD Engineer II to lead new product and process development initiatives from concept through commercialization. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, collaborating with customers, and driving projects from prototype to full-scale production in a regulated environment.

What You'll Do
  • Lead new product and process development projects from concept through production transfer.
  • Design and optimize tooling, fixturing, masking, and manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop prototype solutions, conduct feasibility studies, and evaluate new technologies and process improvements.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, specifications, and validation records.
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to prepare project quotes, timelines, and technical proposals.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, risks, and customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct process validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer teams to ensure successful product launches and scale-up activities.
  • Analyze materials, manufacturing methods, and process performance to improve quality, efficiency, and cost.
  • Present project updates, results, and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 0–5 years of experience in manufacturing, medical devices, electroplating, chemical processing, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience leading new product introduction (NPI) or new process development projects.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, quality systems, and product development methodologies.
  • Experience with process validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact directly with customers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in electroplating, chemical processing, or medical device manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO quality systems and regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience developing work instructions, specifications, inspection procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Customer-facing experience managing project requirements and delivering technical solutions.
