Job description

The Senior Product Development Associate will work alongside the Product Development team in managing and tracking the development cycle for all categories across both Men’s and Women’s. As a Senior Product Development Associate, you will own and communicate our development needs and deadlines to vendors and cross functional teams.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Understand aesthetic and technical direction of product to guide decisions.
  • Own all steps of product development process for categories under management.
  • Responsible for launching and tracking new developments from design to vendors.
  • Manage and update Tech Packs & BOMs with Tech and Design teams.
  • Manage and maintain Tracker reports for categories under management.
  • Gather, review & negotiate costing.
  • Ensure all developments meet calendar requirements.
  • Own the development requests & monitor delivery of samples from vendors. Report status to cross functional teams & troubleshoot roadblocks.
  • Work directly with domestic and import vendors on development, sample tracking and maintaining deadlines. 
  • Communicate daily regarding sample timing, production issues, and product management; address and manage exceptions.
  • Work with Design and Fabric sourcing teams to bring in/develop seasonal fabrics and trims.
  • Makes decisions on acceptable substitute materials for sampling, cost options for development to deliver production ready styles.
  • Run weekly WIP meetings to keep the team on track for approvals and sample status.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining effective working relationships with vendors.
  • Attending all milestone meetings (concept, product review, fittings etc) to implement changes and comments into development. 
Experience Required
  • 5-7 years applicable experience
  • Previous experience in product development, production, or material development required. Outerwear, Tailoring, Wash, Accessories experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills to interact with internal teams & outside vendors
  • Must have experience in working with apparel import vendors
  • Knowledge of fabric, trim sourcing, product development required
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, organized, Collaborative
  • Strong communication skills, Hard-working. Detail oriented
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Gmail, Google meet, Google calendar, Apparel Magic,
  • MULTILINGUAL-speaker is a plus.
