Job Title: Quality Control Manager

Job Description

The Quality Control Manager leads and oversees all quality assurance and quality control activities within a manufacturing facility. This role develops, implements, and maintains a comprehensive Quality Management System to ensure that all products meet established company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. The manager supervises a team of quality professionals and works closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement across all production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the facility’s Quality Management System to ensure consistent product quality and compliance.
  • Establish, document, and enforce quality control policies, procedures, and documentation standards across the organization.
  • Manage and maintain all quality-related records, reports, and certification documentation to ensure accuracy and traceability.
  • Oversee incoming material inspections, in-process quality checks, and final product inspections to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans, sampling procedures, and acceptance criteria for materials, components, and finished products.
  • Ensure calibration, verification, and maintenance of all quality testing and measurement equipment to maintain measurement accuracy.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate quality control technicians and inspectors to build a high-performing quality team.
  • Set clear performance goals and expectations for quality control staff and provide regular feedback and coaching.
  • Foster and promote a quality-first culture throughout the organization, emphasizing prevention of defects and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to identify root causes and resolve quality issues at the source.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and customer-specific quality requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with measurement tools and quality testing equipment used in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

Personal protective equipment requirements include steel-toed boots provided by the employee, while other PPE such as welding hoods, gloves, safety glasses, and jackets is supplied. The work setting involves typical manufacturing conditions, including exposure to noise, machinery, and production activity, and requires consistent adherence to safety procedures and use of provided protective gear.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
