Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Decatur, LLC is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Process Control and Automation Supervisor. This position has leadership responsibilities in the areas of safety, reliability, team development, cost control, and project management. The selectee will also be responsible for overseeing continual improvement initiatives relative to mathematical models, mill drive and PLC automation platforms, Level 2 systems, Level 2.5 (Middleware) systems, and databases, as well as the web-based reports and applications. The Process Control and Automation Supervisor will also be required to assist and support AI initiatives across the Division.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Three or more years of working experience in Steel Mill/Rolling Mill Level 2 systems
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 4-year B.S. or B.A. degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
2. Proven Nucor leadership experience
