Job description

QUALITY CONTROL COORDINATOR

Valicor is looking for a QA/QC Coordinator in our Dearborn location.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support daily Quality Control/Quality operations and equipment.
  • Maintain all safety requirements, ensure safety compliance, and take appropriate actions to address safety and security concerns.
  • Assist with training of team members.
  • Ensure that the facility meets all Environmental Regulatory Compliance requirements on inbound bulk and non-bulk waste. This includes, but not limited to, sampling, fingerprint, treatability, and basic lab testing (pH, flashpoint, metal strip testing, %oil, etc.)
  • Maintain lab equipment.
  • Manage data entry into Valicor’s CRM software.
  • Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with the SWP Manager to build treatment batches and maintain container inventory.
  • Work directly with Sales and Customer Service team to handle off-spec waste, rejections, and treatability as necessary.
  • Provide coverage for plant operations as required.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of lab building and container storage area.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Environmental field
  • Ability to be hands-on or strategic, depending on the business situation
  • Previous experience with management of industrial waste/wastewater & air permits, RCRA & Waste Classification
  • Understanding of Environmental Compliance related to DOT, solidification, and wastewater treatment.
  • Computer Experience - Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to utilize computer-based management systems efficiently
  • Ability to support and enforce company Health & Safety programs
  • Prioritization, organization, and ability to multitask
