Job description

Job Position: Production Control Coordinator

Location: Detroit, MI 48207

Pay Rate: $19.00-22.00/hr

Shift: 1st shift

Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Control Coordinator to support daily manufacturing operations. This position serves as the critical link between Customer Service, Production, Shipping, and Plant Management by ensuring customer orders are accurately converted into production work orders and released to the shop floor in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating order flow from customer purchase order through production completion and shipment.

Order Management & Work Order Creation

  • Review customer purchase orders and sales orders for accuracy and completeness.

  • Convert sales orders into manufacturing work orders.

  • Generate production travelers, routers, and process instructions.

  • Ensure all required documentation is accurate and available prior to production release.

  • Maintain order information within the ERP/MRP system.

Skills & Competencies

Qualifications

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.

  • Previous experience in Production Control, Scheduling, Manufacturing Administration, Customer Service, or Inventory Control.

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
