Job description

Compliance Analyst

Momnt is an expanding financial technology company specializing in embedded lending and point-of-need consumer financing based in Sandy Springs, GA. We are transforming how merchants provide financing to their customers with our state-of-the‑art embedded lending platform. Our platform delivers a seamless digital experience that makes financing simple, fast, and affordable, connecting high-quality lenders with merchants, primarily in the home improvement sector, to empower consumers to pay for the things they need.

We are seeking a Compliance Analyst to support our mission of ensuring regulatory compliance across policies, procedures, and change management processes. This role will be instrumental in bringing Momnt to a compliant status for our bank partners and auditors by building, standardizing, and refining compliance frameworks. The ideal candidate will research, draft, and update policies while making them accessible across the organization.

Location & Work Authorization Hybrid | Sandy Springs, GA – This role requires in‑office collaboration two days per week minimum. Relocation is not available at this time. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. | Sponsorship and Corp-to‑Corp arrangements are not available.

Key Responsibilities as a Compliance Analyst, you will:

  • Review, investigate, and resolve escalated consumer and servicing issues, ensuring appropriate documentation and timely resolution.
  • Review and process bankruptcy notices, death notifications, direct disputes, eOSCAR disputes, and other escalated cases.
  • Review legal and other supporting documentation, including death certificates, bankruptcy notices, and related records, and provide clear summaries of findings and required actions.
  • Investigate consumer disputes and account‑related issues by reviewing available documentation, account history, correspondence, and system information.
  • Research and respond to consumer and internal emails, determining when additional information, investigation, or escalation is required.
  • Document case activity, findings, decisions, and resolutions accurately within HubSpot and other applicable systems.
  • Identify issues that require escalation to Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, or other internal teams and coordinate appropriate follow‑up.
  • Maintain accurate and complete case records and ensure required documentation is obtained and retained.
  • Identify recurring issues, process gaps, and operational trends and provide feedback and recommendations for process improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams while independently managing assigned cases and competing priorities.
  • Apply applicable regulatory and company requirements when reviewing and resolving escalated cases, including requirements related to FCRA, UDAAP, SCRA, FDCPA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills and the ability to learn and navigate multiple systems and applications. Previous HubSpot experience is a plus.
  • Ask questions and seek clarification when necessary to ensure cases are handled accurately and appropriately.
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, communicating operational concerns, and providing constructive feedback.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • 2+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, auditing, or a related regulatory function within the financial industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, including FCRA, UDAAP, SCRA, EFTA, and other applicable compliance frameworks.
  • Experience conducting compliance testing, risk assessments, and regulatory audits.
  • Ability to analyze policies and regulatory changes and translate them into actionable business requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex compliance concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in compliance management tools, risk tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the financial services industry or regulatory compliance consulting.
  • Familiarity with banking audits, regulatory reporting, and risk frameworks.
Benefits & Perks
  • Hybrid Flexibility: Enjoy the best of both worlds with remote work options and a collaborative home base in Sandy Springs.
  • Health & Wellness: Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Future Planning: 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution.
  • Time to Recharge: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid company holidays.
  • Growth Opportunities: A fast‑paced startup environment where you can make a tangible impact and grow your career quickly.
