Overview

The Business Process Automation Manager is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and driving automation initiatives that reduce manual work, improve process quality, and scale business operations across the company. This role partners closely with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Warehouse Operations, Finance, and IT to define automation priorities, shape the roadmap, and help deliver solutions that create measurable business value.

The scope of this role includes automation solutions such as Robotic Process Automation, systems integration, AI Agents, and Agentic AI solutions, along with workflow automation, rule-based automation, and other process improvement technologies. This person serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring automation work is aligned to operational needs, business priorities, and enterprise value

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Success in this position will come through strong cross-functional leadership, business partnership, structured prioritization, and execution through influence rather than direct people management.

HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 1 days per week, and 4 days per week remotely. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our corporate headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County) or our location in Houston, TX (City Centre).

Responsibilities
  • Work with business unit leaders across Sales, Marketing, Warehouse Operations, Finance, and IT to define the automation strategy, roadmap, and priorities for workflow automation, Robotic Process Automation, systems integration, rule-based automation, AI Agents, Agentic AI solutions, and AI-enabled process improvements within their part of the business.
  • Identify high-friction manual workflows, disconnected systems, and repetitive operational tasks, then build a prioritized pipeline of automation opportunities.
  • Translate business needs into clear business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Warehouse Operations, Finance, and IT teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
  • Own backlog management, prioritization, implementation planning, and stakeholder communication for automation initiatives.
  • Establish and track KPIs such as adoption, cycle-time reduction, error reduction, throughput, cost savings, and ROI.
  • Support change management, rollout planning, and adoption across business teams so new automation capabilities are used effectively.
  • Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure automation work is aligned to business value and operational reality.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of total work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation, business process improvement, product ownership, program management, business systems, or a similar cross-functional role.
  • Demonstrated success identifying and delivering workflow improvements, automation initiatives, systems integrations, or operational process enhancements.
  • Strong ability to translate business process challenges into structured requirements and implementation plans.
  • Experience working across multiple business functions and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical skills, including process mapping, KPI design, business case development, and ROI evaluation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively as an individual contributor in a highly cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation, systems integration, APIs, low-code/no-code automation tools, AI Agents, Agentic AI solutions, or related automation technologies.
  • Experience supporting functions such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, or IT.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Workato, Boomi, Zapier, Power Automate, UiPath, or similar tools.
  • Experience in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
