Job description

Processing Technician

Toyo Tanso USA is seeking a motivated Processing Technician to support advanced manufacturing operations in our Purification and Silicon Carbide (SiC) Coating departments. This hands-on role involves operating specialized processing equipment, preparing materials, and ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Join a team supporting advanced materials manufacturing and build valuable technical skills!

New team members will receive on-the-job training and opportunities to develop technical skills in advanced manufacturing processes. The Processing Technician role shift is from 6:00pm-6:00am and follows a 12-hour rotating schedule: 3 12-hour shifts in Week 1 and 4 12-hour shifts in Week 2. *Employees on this schedule earn a daily 10% shift differential in addition to daily overtime pay. Base pay + shift differential: $20.00 + $2.00. Overtime pay for the hours worked more than 10 hours in a day: $30.00/hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload parts into processing vessels

  • Operate and monitor Purification or SiC coating equipment

  • Inspect, measure, and record production data

  • Assist with part preparation and equipment setup

  • Monitor gas levels, equipment status, and inventory

  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Help in design-making and placement of processing fixtures

  • Works in various processing capacities as required by production needs (i.e Handwork or Bagging Departments)

  • Understands and uses Safety Data Sheets (SDS) documents

  • Maintain clean and safe work areas

  • Follow all company safety procedures and standards

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required*

  • Ability to learn technical processing systems and study Chemical Vapor Disposition

  • Basic math skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to lift 35 lbs and comfortable working around gases, chemicals, and high-temperature equipment with the required proper PPE

  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment with and around nontoxic graphite
