This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on property management experience and build a long-term career with our company. We support professional development and will provide guidance and support to employees interested in obtaining an Oregon real estate or property-manager license.

Schedule and Compensation

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • $19.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience and qualifications
  • Hourly, nonexempt position
  • Meal and rest periods provided in accordance with Oregon law

Benefits and Company-Provided Equipment

  • Employer-sponsored IRA with a company match of up to 3%, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements
  • Company-provided laptop for business use
  • Company-provided phone for business use
  • Company-branded clothing and gear
  • Training and support for employees interested in obtaining an Oregon real estate or property-manager license
  • Opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the company

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the licensed Property Manager.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, prospective residents, property owners, vendors, and team members.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, provide approved information, take detailed messages, and route calls appropriately.
  • Respond to leasing inquiries using approved information and advertising.
  • Schedule showings to be conducted by a licensed team member or coordinate approved self-guided showing options.
  • Follow up with prospective residents and provide approved information about the application process.
  • Assist with applications, document collection, and lease preparation under the direction of the licensed Property Manager.
  • Assist the licensed Property Manager with property inspections or complete assigned condition-documentation visits using an approved checklist.
  • Take clear photographs and document observable property conditions without independently determining habitability, tenant responsibility, lease violations, or required legal action.
  • Assist with maintenance coordination by communicating approved information, scheduling appointments, obtaining updates, and documenting completed work.
  • Promptly report maintenance, safety, or property concerns to the licensed Property Manager.
  • Review and process utility bills, maintain supporting documentation, and enter approved charges accurately.
  • Receive, sort, scan, distribute, and process incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assist with data entry, scheduling, document preparation, recordkeeping, filing, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in the company’s property management software.
  • Assist with resident and tenant relations as authorized by the licensed Property Manager.
  • Perform specifically delegated property-management activities only when authorized in writing and permitted under Oregon law.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide timely and professional service.
  • Perform other related administrative and support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in property management, leasing support, administrative work, billing, sales, or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently follow through on assignments.
  • Ability to handle challenging conversations calmly and professionally.
  • Working knowledge of common computer programs and the ability to learn new software.
  • Experience using a CRM or property management system is a plus.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and work within the authority delegated by the licensed Property Manager.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Ability to take clear photographs and accurately document observable property conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation because local travel to properties is an essential function of the position, with reasonable accommodations considered as required by law.
  • Willingness to learn Oregon property management requirements, fair housing laws, company policies, and established procedures.

An Oregon real estate or property-manager license is not required for this support position. Applicants who already hold an active Oregon license are encouraged to apply and may be assigned additional duties permitted by their license and company authorization.

Growth Opportunities

We are looking for someone interested in more than just a job. This position has the potential to grow into a long-term property management career with increased responsibilities and advancement opportunities.

The company will provide training, guidance, and support for an employee who wants to pursue an Oregon real estate or property-manager license. Any licensing assistance or reimbursement will be subject to company approval and applicable company policies.
