Business Applications Analyst Role Overview
The Business Applications Analyst (BAA) examines, improves, and streamlines business processes and resources. The BAA is responsible for identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement within existing processes. This includes thoroughly analyzing current workflows and recommending optimizations.
The BAA supports the Business Process Analysts by managing the Business Repository (including builds and ongoing maintenance), coordinating testing requirements (scheduling, scripts, logistics), maintaining test documentation, developing training materials, and supporting UAT and enduser training.
Once areas for improvement are identified, the BAA partners with crossfunctional teams at PBV to update existing processes, technical documentation, and resources, or to develop and implement new processes, procedures, and technologies that enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. The BAA collaborates closely with teams within Business Transformation and key stakeholders to gather requirements and assist with planning and execution activities as needed.
Responsibilities
• Provides first/second level support, problem and resolution analysis of VIP and SAP applications.
• Supports Business Application Process improvements; complete functional specifications, test coordination, testing, test documentation, training documentation, end user training.
• Provides support for Strategic Business Application Projects; test coordination, testing, test documentation, training documentation, end user training.
• Conducts process audits and performance assessments to ensure the processes are effective and comply with.
• Identify process gaps and business challenges through analysis (ServiceNow Analytics and Reporting)
• Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Business Transformation, Project Management, or related field preferred but not required.
• Two (2) years of experience supporting SAP business applications or other ERP softwaresolutions.
• Business Degree with at least two (2) courses in IT/Computer Science can be a substitute for previous experience.
• Knowledge of Business Processes in Finance, Controlling/Costing, Manufacturing, Sales, and/or Delivery is preferred.
• Previous experience in consumer products industry preferred.
• Self-starter and independent analytical thinker with a high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working and adapting to a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand business impact and prioritize assignments.
• Able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Willing to travel up to 25-30% of the time by car or plane.
