Job description

Kratos is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst for SATCOM and Space Ground Systems projects varying in size and complexity. The Configuration Management Analyst will work on developmental and operational projects and programs and be part of the cross functional teams assigned to meet the contractual requirements of the projects and programs.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Primary support to Lead for Configuration and Document Management
  • Plan and execute configuration management throughout the project lifecycle, including development, migration, deployment and security
  • Responsible for change management request process, that include additions, modifications, or removal of configuration items that could affect the mission, baseline or infrastructure
  • Facilitate: configuration control boards, risk assessment meetings for government events, creation of certified data packages, conduct configuration management audits of the baseline
  • Actively ensure continuous process improvement and continuity for the team
  • Assess project issues and assist with resolutions to meet productivity, quality and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives

  • 7+ years of relevant experience being a Configuration Management Engineer (or Document Analyst) in an industry that requires managing software, hardware and processes (engineering, production manufacturing)
  • Experience in assessing the CM requirements of a developmental and operational project and program, and generating an appropriate Configuration Management Plan and/or Configuration Management Implementation Plan
  • Executes configuration management for developmental and operational projects and programs
  • Strong knowledge of Configuration Management principles, tools and processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to interact directly with subcontractors and management
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional internal and external teams
  • Actively pursue continuous process improvement for configuration management across multiple projects
  • Travel as required to support a project ~10% travel
  • Holds a Top Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain TS/SCI

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Document and Data Management
  • Experience in SATCOM and Satellite Ground Requirements, Management and/or the Defense and Aerospace industry
  • Agile development practices and processes
  • Atlassian Tool Suite
  • Familiarity with automated test scripting and tools (e.g., Bamboo)
  • Familiarity with Confguration Management Tools (e.g., Git, Atlassian tools, Artifactory, CMPro, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Docker/Container/Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline
  • Analytical problem solving
  • Ability to provide CM training
  • TS/SCI

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $120,000-$130,000
