Job description

We are looking for a legal assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist clients. You’ll be responsible for managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings and travel, and ensuring our legal team is aware of upcoming deadlines.


You’ll also assist with preparing legal documents and contracts, and perform any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently. If you work well in a fast-paced environment and consistently deliver high-quality work product, reach out to us today!

Compensation:

$18 - $22 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Handle office correspondence and administrative tasks such as responding to emails and phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, and letting the team know about upcoming deadlines
  • Use daily time records to properly process client billing with support from the accounting department
  • Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently
  • Complete legal research as needed under the supervision of attorneys 
  • Assist with the creation of various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and affidavits
  • Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly

Qualifications:
  • Proficient with MS Office products
  • Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • An associate’s degree or some college is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary
  • Candidates should have strong organizational and communication skills
