Job description

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Probate Paralegal to support attorneys in all aspects of probate and estate administration. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service during sensitive life transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with probate and estate administration matters from opening through closing
  • Prepare and file probate documents with Ohio and Kentucky courts
  • Draft correspondence, inventories, accountings, applications, and related pleadings
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and court personnel
  • Gather and organize estate assets and financial information
  • Monitor deadlines and maintain case management systems
  • Coordinate appointments, hearings, and document execution
  • Assist with trust administration and related estate matters

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience preferred
  • 2+ years of probate, estate administration, or estate planning experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Ohio and Kentucky probate procedures is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
