We're seeking an experienced Estate Planning and Probate Attorney to join our team. We handle sophisticated estate planning matters along with complex probate and trust administration, and we're looking for someone with a genuine passion for helping clients and families, along with a sharp eye for detail. This role also touches our broader real estate and closing practice, so familiarity with contracts, business law, or real estate is a strong plus.
What You'll Do~
● Consult with clients to understand their estate planning goals and family or business circumstances
● Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related estate planning documents
● Advise clients on strategies to minimize estate taxes and avoid unnecessary probate exposure
● Represent clients in probate and trust administration proceedings, including preparing and filing required court documents
● Analyze clients' financial and personal situations to recommend appropriate planning strategies
● Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals on comprehensive estate plans
● Conduct legal research to stay current on estate planning, probate, and related tax laws
● Where applicable, assist with related contract review, business law matters, or real estate transactions
What We're Looking For~
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning, probate, or both
● Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar
● Strong knowledge of estate planning laws, regulations, and best practices
● Proficiency in drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Ability to explain complex legal terms and concepts to clients in an understandable manner
● Strong legal writing, drafting, research, and analytical skills
● High ethical standards, sound judgment, and the discretion to handle sensitive client information
● Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple client matters at once
● A client-focused approach and the interpersonal skills to explain complex legal concepts clearly
● Background in contracts, business law, or real estate is a bonus, though not required
Work Arrangement~
We offer a hybrid schedule for the right candidate. That said, this attorney must be local enough to reliably come into our office for in-person client consultations and appointments. This is not a fully remote position.
