Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator - Fab Shop with experience in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, assemble, and secure sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial construction projects.
  • Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Work with a variety of duct materials, including galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Ensure proper sealing and insulation of duct systems to meet industry standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specifications.
  • Operate hand and power tools, including shears, brakes, and welding equipment.
  • Collaborate with other trades to ensure proper system installation.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets local building codes and HVAC standards.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC sheet metal duct installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC ductwork installation techniques and best practices.
  • Experience working with various hand and power tools used in sheet metal fabrication.
