Job description

We are seeking an experienced Pro-AV Technical Education Manager to lead all technical training and educational initiatives across North and Latin America. This is a unique opportunity to own and grow a comprehensive training program, serving as the primary technical education resource for the region.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong technical expertise in professional AV, and the ability to engage audiences in classroom, virtual, and live event environments. This role also partners closely with the sales team by supporting product demonstrations, customer education, and pre-sales technical discussions.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and deliver monthly product certification classes.
  • Develop and conduct customized on-site product training for customers and partners.
  • Lead educational sessions at industry trade shows, roadshows, and customer events.
  • Deliver live virtual product training and webinars.
  • Maintain and enhance online learning courses and eLearning content.
  • Record, edit, and produce technical training videos and tutorials.
  • Support the sales team with product demonstrations and pre-sales technical presentations.
  • Maintain and improve the training classroom, lab environment, and training resources.
  • Collaborate with global training teams to align regional education initiatives with worldwide training strategies.
  • Track training metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Develop and manage the annual training budget.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Pro-AV industry or a closely related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of video signal flow, video processing, bandwidth, and AV system design.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical training, certification programs, or customer education.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for audiences with varying technical backgrounds.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Experience supporting sales teams through product demonstrations and technical pre-sales discussions.
  • Experience creating technical training content, including video recording and editing.
  • Familiarity with eLearning platforms or course authoring tools.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.


Preferred:

  • Experience with professional video processing and presentation systems.
  • Familiarity with AVIXA standards and the professional AV ecosystem.
  • Experience presenting at industry trade shows such as InfoComm, NAB, or ISE.
  • Background in live events, broadcast, or corporate AV environments.


Education & Certifications:

  • Associate degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • AVIXA CTS certification is preferred or willingness to obtain it within the first year.
  • Ability to obtain product-specific operator certifications as required.


Location & Travel:

  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Metro Atlanta area.
  • Approximately 20โ€“30% travel is required, including occasional overnight travel. Weekend travel is infrequent but may occasionally be necessary.
