Responsibilities
Provide medical care to hospice patients. Determine hospice eligibility and pain and symptom management. Participate in the care of the hospice patient as a member of the interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
Education and experience, essential
- Must be a graduate of an approved school, and licensed as a nurse practitioner (NP) in the state in which they currently practice.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements, including Medicare conditions of participation.
- Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
Education and experience, preferred
- At least five years nursing experience with a minimum of one year in hospice preferred.
- At least three years of clinical registered NP experience preferred.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid state driver license
- Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law
- Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition
- Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
- Must possess CPR certification
