About the Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Violin Instructor to teach part-time at Melody Academy of Music, with locations in Fremont, Cupertino, and Palo Alto. We are looking for someone to teach private lessons out of our Palo Alto and Cupertino locations. Ability to teach piano or other instruments a plus. We are currently hiring teachers who will instruct IN PERSON!
Preferred hours for this position include afternoons and evenings with a preference for at least one weekend day per week.
Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in strings performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.
Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $45-$50/hour for private lessons, and a base rate of $50 per hour for group classes. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Health benefits options are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
