A Private Practice RN is a registered nurse who works in a private healthcare setting, such as a physician’s office, specialty clinic, or independent medical practice. They provide patient care, assist with procedures, administer medications, and educate patients about their health conditions. Unlike hospital-based nurses, they typically work regular office hours with limited weekend or holiday shifts. Their role may also include administrative duties, such as scheduling, maintaining patient records, and coordinating care with other healthcare providers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Private Practice Rn position, and why are they important?

To excel as a Private Practice RN, you need strong clinical skills, a current RN license, and the ability to conduct thorough patient assessments and follow individualized care plans. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and knowledge of current healthcare regulations are essential. Excellent communication, discretion, and the ability to build patient rapport are standout soft skills in this setting. These qualities ensure high standards of patient care, efficient practice operations, and positive patient relationships in a private healthcare environment.

What does a typical day look like for a Private Practice RN?

A typical day for a Private Practice RN involves performing patient assessments, administering medications, assisting with minor procedures, and coordinating patient education and follow-up care. You will frequently collaborate closely with physicians, office staff, and sometimes specialists to ensure seamless patient experiences. Job description

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Enhanced salary and experience differential.

Flexible scheduling! Relocation offered! Call and non-call schedules available! No weekend commitment!

For over 30 years, ASPA's commitment to excellence in patient care has enabled us to remain the largest anesthesia group in Delaware, and one of the largest private practice anesthesia groups in the country. ASPA is the exclusive anesthesia provider for the Christiana Care Health System, which includes Christiana Hospital, Christiana Surgicenter, and Wilmington Hospital. In addition, we provide anesthesia care at five additional Ambulatory Surgery Centers, two Sedation Dentistry Centers, multiple office-based sedation sites, and obstetric care at Nemours Children's Hospital. Our Anesthesia Care Team is comprised of 50+ board certified anesthesiologists, 110+ CRNAs, a highly skilled clinical support team of RNs & NPs, and a robust administrative support team. In 2016, ASPA administered a total of more than 67,000 anesthetics involving all surgical specialties across its facilities in Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania.

Our prime location in northern Delaware is in the heart of the beautiful Brandywine River Valley, only a 40-minute commute from Center City Philadelphia. The greater Philadelphia area is a prime location on the East Coast, less than 2 hours by car/train from major cities such as Washington, D.C., Baltimore and New York, and an hour from both beach & mountain resort areas. With a lower cost of living than many other metropolitan areas and nationally renowned school systems, northern Delaware & southeastern Pennsylvania are an ideal setting for new graduates & experienced applicants alike.

Due to ASPA's ongoing expansion, we are actively recruiting CRNAs and SRNAs currently enrolled in an accredited training program. Our CRNA team is highly skilled and enjoys multiple opportunities for professional growth, leadership and clinical skill development. Current CRNA team members play critical roles in regional anesthesia teams, site leadership, educational initiatives, SRNA training, and much more. We are currently hiring for a variety of full-time & part-time positions with flexible & condensed schedules available, along with highly competitive employee benefits, in addition to paid vacation, education allowance, 401(k) enrollment and profit-sharing opportunities with ASPA. Substantial sign-on bonuses are available for both graduating students and experienced CRNAs, as well as site & shift-based additional incentive pay.
