How much can I make as a private lender?

Private lenders typically earn interest rates ranging from 8% to 12% annually, depending on the risk, loan amount, and borrower profile. Income potential increases with the number of loans funded and the size of each loan, but it also involves assessing borrower risk and managing loan documentation. Successful private lenders often require strong financial knowledge and the ability to evaluate real estate or business collateral.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Private Lending position, and why are they important?

To thrive in Private Lending, you need a robust understanding of financial analysis, risk assessment, loan structuring, and regulatory compliance—often supported by a degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Familiarity with loan origination systems, underwriting software, and knowledge of relevant certifications like Certified Private Lender (CPL) is valuable. Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation abilities, and attention to detail set top professionals apart in this field. These competencies enable effective client interactions, prudent decision-making, and the mitigation of financial risk in a competitive market.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

Private lenders or real estate investors can earn $10,000 or more per month through successful property deals or private lending activities, often requiring strong financial knowledge, networking, and risk management skills. These roles typically do not require a formal degree but benefit from experience, certifications, or licenses related to finance or real estate. Income varies based on deal volume, market conditions, and individual expertise.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a Private Lending professional?

Private Lending professionals usually spend their days evaluating loan applications, conducting due diligence on borrowers, and analyzing collateral or real estate assets. They work closely with clients to structure loan terms that meet both the client's needs and the lender's risk criteria, and often coordinate with legal, compliance, and underwriting teams throughout the process. In addition to ongoing portfolio management, they may also be responsible for sourcing new business and staying up to date with market trends. This fast-paced role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple transactions simultaneously.

How much does a loan officer make on a $500,000 loan?

A loan officer typically earns a commission or fee based on the loan amount, often around 1% to 2%, which would be $5,000 to $10,000 for a $500,000 loan. Compensation can also include a base salary plus bonuses, depending on the employer and experience level.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

In private lending, high-earning roles such as private lenders, real estate investors, or mortgage brokers can earn around $2,000 or more per day, especially when managing large transactions or portfolios. These positions often require significant experience, capital, and knowledge of financial markets or real estate. Income varies based on deal size, commission structures, and market conditions.

What is a Private Lending job?

A Private Lending job involves facilitating loans between private individuals or organizations rather than traditional financial institutions. Professionals in this role assess borrowers' creditworthiness, structure loan agreements, and ensure compliance with lending regulations. They often work with real estate investors, small business owners, or individuals who need alternative financing solutions. Strong financial knowledge, negotiation skills, and an understanding of risk assessment are essential for success in this field.

Job description

About Revolution Realty Capital

Revolution Realty Capital (RevCap) isn't a typical private lender. We've built a direct lending platform engineered for how real estate investors actually operate today - fast, data-driven, and free of the friction that defines this industry. Headquartered in Carlsbad, CA, we've originated over $1B across 41 states. We lend our own capital, run our own underwriting, and close in as little as 10 days. No broker layers. No marketplace games. No middlemen.
We're looking for hungry, motivated, disciplined team members who want to build a real book of business and own their outcomes - not punch a clock.
What We Lend On:

We run four active loan programs serving real estate investors at every stage of the deal:
  • Fix & Flip - Short-term financing for investors acquiring and renovating residential properties for resale.
  • Ground-Up Construction - Project financing for experienced builders developing residential properties from the ground up.
  • DSCR Rental - Long-term financing for investors building and holding cash-flowing rental portfolios.
  • Small Balance Commercial - Bridge financing for retail, light industrial, multifamily 5+, and mixed-use properties.

Deal sizes range from $100K to $10M depending on the program. Most of our borrowers are repeat investors with active portfolios - we win on second, third, and tenth deals as often as we win on firsts.
The Role:

We're hiring an Account Executive to build relationships with active real estate investors and convert them into long-term borrower clients. You'll work targeted lists of high-intent investors - people with verified project history, known lender relationships, and active deal flow. Your job is to call them, build trust, and bring deals into our pipeline.
This is a phone-first role - you should be energized by live conversations, not avoiding them.

What You'll Do:
  • Run outbound calls into enriched, curated investor lists (past projects, lenders used, deal patterns - the data is done; you build the relationship).
  • Qualify deals against our four loan programs and shepherd them through underwriting.
  • Build a pipeline of repeat borrowers - most of our volume comes from second, third, and tenth-deal clients.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, underwriting, and processing to close fast.
  • Represent Revolution Realty Capital with the discipline and credibility our brand requires.

What You Bring:

Required:
  • Phone-based sales experience - you've built a book by dialing, not by waiting on inbound.
  • Comfort owning your numbers and operating without daily hand-holding.
  • Coachable, hungry, high-output.

Strongly preferred:
  • Background in private lending, mortgage, commercial real estate finance, or business banking.
  • Experience selling to investors, small business owners, or operators.
  • Existing book of business or active broker/borrower relationships in real estate finance.

What You'll Have:
  • Curated, data-rich target lists - no list-building, no cold prospecting from scratch.
  • Four strong loan programs with competitive terms and a real underwriting team behind them.
  • A modern internal stack - automated pricing, integrated CRM, and tooling built to make sellers faster, not slower.
  • Direct access to leadership - flat structure, fast decisions.
  • A brand that closes when it says it will.

Compensation:
This role is paid through a guaranteed monthly draw against commission, with uncapped earnings tied to closed loans.
  • Guaranteed monthly draw: $2,000/month, recoverable against earned commissions.
  • Commission: Paid per closed loan across all four programs (Fix & Flip, Ground-Up, DSCR, Small Balance Commercial).
  • Realistic Year 1 earnings: $100,000–$150,000.
  • Top performers: $250,000+.

Work Setup:

Mostly remote with occasional in-office time at our Carlsbad, CA headquarters for team strategy and training. West Coast hours preferred.
If this sounds like the right fit, we'd love to hear from you.
Revolution Realty Capital is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
