Job description

Engagement: Fractional / freelance, 3-month retainer (with potential to extend)

Location: Miami, FL — local presence required

Reports to: VP of Marketing

Start: Immediate

RBI Private Lendingis a U.S.-based real estate lendingcompanyfocused on providing strategic capital solutions for residential real estate investors and developers. Through bridge, construction, and investment loan programs, we support investors inacquiring, renovating, and building residential properties across key U.S. markets

About the role

We’re looking for a senior PR freelancer to own our earned-media function on a fractional basis. This is a hands‑on, senior‑only engagement: you’ll arrive already fluent in the private lending and real estate investor landscape and start pitching from week one — there is no ramp‑up period built into this role.

What you’ll own
  • Earned-media strategy and execution: press releases, media lists, and active media pitching.
  • Securing coverage in real estate investor, private lending, and fintech outlets, plus regional business press in our key markets.
  • Executive thought leadership — bylines, op-eds, and expert commentary positioning RBI leadership as voices in the space.
  • PR support for company announcements, campaigns, and milestones.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with priority journalists and editors.
Required qualifications (must-haves)
  • Based in Miami. Local presence is required and non-negotiable.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish, fluent in both written and spoken.
  • Live media relationships in Florida and Texas, specifically within real estate, private lending, or investor trade media.
  • A proven track record of senior PR work in B2B and regulated-finance environments.
  • Demonstrable placements from the last 12 months in outlets a real estate investor audience actually reads (be ready to share three).
Preferred
  • Existing relationships within Hispanic / Spanish-language real estate and finance media.
  • Experience supporting brand and growth initiatives, not just product announcements.
  • Comfort working independently and at pace alongside an in-house marketing team.
Success in the first 90 days
  • An activated, qualified media list for RBI’s priority markets.
  • A pipeline of pitched and placed stories in relevant trade and regional outlets.
  • At least one executive thought-leadership placement secured or in motion.
  • A repeatable PR cadence the in-house team can sustain after the engagement.
