Personal Lines Account Manager – High-Net-Worth / Private Client


Location: Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $85,000–$90,000 DOE

Our client, a well-established and highly respected insurance brokerage in Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join its Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional with experience servicing affluent and high-net-worth clients who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, client-focused, and comfortable managing a sophisticated book of business while delivering exceptional white-glove service.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth and private client personal insurance accounts.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients while building trusted, long-term relationships.
  • Partner closely with Producers and act as the primary client contact on assigned accounts.
  • Market new and renewal business with leading personal lines carriers and wholesale markets.
  • Prepare proposals, coverage comparisons, renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and account reviews.
  • Analyze clients' insurance programs and recommend coverage enhancements and risk management solutions.
  • Resolve complex service, billing, and claims issues through policy interpretation and carrier negotiations.
  • Conduct annual insurance reviews and present recommendations designed to protect clients' evolving exposures.
  • Identify account rounding and cross-selling opportunities within existing relationships.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and account activity within the agency management system.
  • Oversee the preparation and processing of policy transactions and ensure timely, accurate servicing.
  • Mentor and support junior Account Managers and Client Support Specialists as needed.
  • Stay current on carrier products, market trends, and industry changes to provide proactive client advice.


Qualifications

  • 3 years of Personal Lines Account Management experience within an independent insurance brokerage.
  • Private Client / High-Net-Worth experience is required.
  • Entertainment industry client experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of homeowners, auto, umbrella, valuable articles, excess liability, and specialty personal lines coverages.
  • Familiarity with the California FAIR Plan and wholesale markets including Monarch, RT Specialty, Burns & Wilcox, and Amwins.
  • Experience working with premier personal lines carriers such as CHUBB, PURE, Cincinnati, Vault, PCS/AIG, Mercury, Travelers, Safeco, Progressive, Nationwide, and similar markets.
  • Experience with Applied Epic is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.
  • California Property & Casualty License required.
