Koniag Technology Solutions, Inc, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Program Manager to support KTS and our government customer in Washington, DC. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity

Koniag Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and ensure the success of this effort for our government client. This critical role will oversee the transformation of technology infrastructure, managing a large team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT program management. This position requires a strategic thinker who can drive modernization initiatives while maintaining operational excellence in a complex government environment.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Koniag Technology Solutions and the client, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with government stakeholders
  • Develop and execute comprehensive program plans to modernize existing applications and develop new applications utilizing DevSecOps, cloud-native coding, and scaled Agile methodologies
  • Lead the transformation to cloud-first architectures that support large-scale/real-time data processing and AI/ML implementation
  • Oversee the implementation of standardized architectures for efficient data handling, high-volume data inputs, and near real-time processing
  • Manage the execution of all contract task areas including contract management, project management, systems engineering, applications management, and advanced data science
  • Establish and monitor program metrics, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget constraints
  • Implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential issues
  • Guide organizational change management efforts to support the transformation to DevSecOps practices
  • Coordinate collaborative efforts across contractors, federal personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery
  • Provide regular status reporting to executive leadership and government stakeholders

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
  • PMP, PgMP, ITIL, or other relevant program management certifications
  • 10 years of IT experience
  • 3 years of experience in management or supervisory capacity
  • 3 years of experience with systems/cloud/data science

Acceptable Substitutions:
  • 4 years of work experience can be substituted for the bachelor's degree requirement

Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Proven experience managing large, complex IT programs with teams of 50+ personnel
  • Demonstrated experience with federal government contracts, preferably with statistical agencies
  • Proficiency in modern program management methodologies including Agile, SAFe, and traditional waterfall approaches
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices and cloud computing technologies
  • Experience with application modernization and cloud migration strategies
  • Knowledge of data management principles and enterprise architecture
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget planning and execution for multi-million dollar programs
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to effectively manage and resolve conflicts across diverse teams
  • Experience developing and implementing program management processes and tools
  • Understanding of federal acquisition regulations and government contracting processes
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances for federal government work
