We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer to develop and build a capacity management system for the prison operations of the US Marshals Service (USMS). In this position, you will come into the project from inception and have a strong voice in the look and feel of the system. Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be experienced with Business Intelligence tools including assessing business needs, defining requirements and developing the solutions via queries, dashboards, reports and advanced visualizations that align with the detention operations business process and aid in driving their day-to-day data management and business decisions.
  • Must be able to work onsite
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
  • 7-10 years of experience as BI developer including data warehouse and business intelligence tools.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, building and implementing BI solutions including visual reports/dashboards, scheduling reports/direct query, etc.
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Analytics Stack (SQL Server, SSAS Tabular, SSRS, Power BI, Power Query, SQL and T-SQL)
  • Proficient in making DAX queries.
  • Advance knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of data modeling, ETL, and data warehouse concept.
  • Implementation of access control and knowledge of security layer for report access.
  • Knowledge of Data Mining, Clustering & Statistical Modelling is preferred.
  • Must have a knowledge of SQL data warehouse, Visual Studio, SharePoint, Microsoft .NET, Microsoft Azure, etc.
  • Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
  • Develop software in an agile development methodology by working with stakeholders to refine developed product.
  • Knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.
  • Superior documentation and organization skills. Must be detail oriented.
  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
