Medical Receptionist

Indian Health Care Resource Center of Tulsa (IHCRC) is a nonprofit organization empowering the American Indian community through exceptional, culturally responsive healthcare. Our team-driven environment is rooted in community, respect, accountability, excellence, and stewardship, with a shared commitment to health promotion and disease prevention. We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our medical team. The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing a vital role in setting a welcoming and professional environment. This role is responsible for front desk operations including scheduling, check-in/out, verifying insurance, answering phones, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Essential Job Functions
  • Check in patients.
  • Verify insurance on all patients.
  • Verify appropriate documents are in the patient chart.
  • Assist with the walk-in process.
  • Connect patients with the appropriate staff or department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required License, Certification, Education, Specialized Skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years experience or technical training in medical billing or medical records.
  • Basic computer skills.
