Software Engineer SME to support mission-critical Identity and Access Management (IdAM/ICAM) programs. You will build scalable, low-latency distributed systems within an Agile environment, focusing on both the evolution of legacy applications and the creation of new mission-driven solutions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze and decompose complex software systems to create designs optimized for scalability, performance, and testability.

Build new features and applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS backend components. Collaborate with product owners and analysts to translate business requirements into technical reality within 3-week Scrum cycles. Manage Jira backlog grooming and participate in a shared O&M on-call rotation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/SKILLS): BS degree and 16+ years of relevant software engineering experience. Proven track record with high-throughput distributed systems and RESTful API creation. Infrastructure management using CloudFormation, EC2 scripts, and Rundeck.

Version control and CI/CD via Git and Jenkins. Proficiency in manipulating XML, JSON, and YAML formats. Strong ability to communicate technical designs and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
