ABOUT I9 SPORTS
i9 Sports is the nation's largest youth sports organization, serving more than 5 million children nationwide. Our mission is simple: Help kids succeed in life through sports. We are seeking energetic, dependable, and positive Sports Coaches to lead after-school sports and enrichment programs at elementary and middle schools throughout Fullerton, Buena Park, Anaheim, and surrounding communities.
POSITION OVERVIEWAs an AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS COACH, you will lead structured sports activities and enrichment programs for students in grades TK-8. Coaches are responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and positive environment while teaching sports fundamentals, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.
COMPENSATION

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead after-school sports and enrichment programs
  • Follow strict guidelines given by the school
  • Teach age-appropriate sports skills and activities
  • Create a fun, inclusive, and positive environment for students
  • Promote teamwork, leadership, confidence, and sportsmanship
  • Manage groups of students while maintaining safety and engagement
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and program leadership
  • Set up and break down sports equipment
  • Serve as a positive role model for students
  • Follow all program policies and safety procedures
  • Attend monthly site-based team meetings as required by the District

SPORTS EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED required (college degree preferred)
  • 4-6 years Coaching, teaching, childcare, recreation, or youth development experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable leading groups of children in an active environment
  • Ability to lift and move sports equipment up to 25 pounds

COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and Live Scan clearance
  • Mandated Reporter Training
  • TB Clearance
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
