Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Automotive Sales Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive sales management, with at least 2–3 years of verifiable success and strong professional references. We value stability and seek candidates with consistent career histories and demonstrated leadership capabilities.

This role requires a motivated self-starter with a deep understanding of automotive retail, strong business acumen, and the ability to take full accountability for sales performance. Exceptional communication, leadership, and team-building skills are essential.

We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience, with significant opportunities for career advancement within our expanding automotive group. Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits following 90 days of employment. All candidates must successfully pass a drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle record review.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve dealership objectives.
  • Set and manage sales targets and quotas across the team.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to drive performance and meet organizational goals.
  • Ensure sales targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Oversee inventory management, including pricing, display, and aging control.
  • Generate and maintain accurate, timely reports on all sales-related activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support dealership success.

Qualification

  • Minimum 2–3 years of automotive dealership experience with a stable employment record and exceptional references.
  • Demonstrated success in a sales leadership role with strong closing and deal management abilities.
  • Proficient with Reynolds & Reynolds, ADP, Dealertrack, and other dealership software systems.
  • Experience using CRM platforms to manage customer engagement and follow-up.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction, staff training, and team leadership.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop sales teams to meet and exceed performance goals.
  • Knowledge of internet lead processes and digital advertising effectiveness.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record check.
